Not only did the winners get the chance to deliver a short, sweet victory speech, but many also took to their social media accounts to reflect on their wins as their evening of partying wound down.

How the Oscar Winners Reacted on Social Media
Best Actress — Jessica Chastain, The Eyes of Tammy Faye
Jessica Chastain took home the Oscar for Best Actress for her performance as Tammy Faye in the biopic The Eyes of Tammy Faye.
Taking to her Instagram after her win, Chastain posted a short video of herself getting ready for the Oscars, which jumped to her drinking champagne with her Oscar in hand.
She captioned the video: “Was tonight real?? Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”
Best Original Score — Hans Zimmer, Dune
German film score composer Hans Zimmer took home his second Oscar for “Best Original Score” for the sci-fi epic Dune.
Posting an adorable image of himself on Instagram in a dressing gown clutching his Oscar, Zimmer wrote: “It’s 2 am in Amsterdam, and my daughter @ZZimmer woke me up to go to the hotel bar. Wow!! #Oscars”
He followed the post with a video of a clip of him giving an impromptu speech where he praised the rest of the Dune team and Dune director Denis Villeneuve.
Alongside the clip, he wrote: “Thank you to @TheAcademy, but most importantly, to all the @DuneMovie musicians and our leader Denis Villeneuve.”
Best Supporting Actress — Ariana DeBose, West Side Story
Ariana DeBose made history on two separate occasions at the 2022 Oscars.
First of all, DeBose is the first openly queer person of color to win an acting Oscar.
Secondly, DeBose is the second person to win an Oscar for playing the role of Anita in West Side Story. Rita Moreno won the same award for her performance in West Side Story back in 1962.
After the ceremony, DeBose posted several photographs on her Instagram story, and she took to Twitter to pen some words about her incredible achievement.
Alongside an image of her smiling and clutching her Oscar, she wrote: “Thank you all so much for the love and support this season. I am overwhelmed & in awe….. thank you, thank you, thank you.
“Also sparkle birk.”
Best Picture — CODA
The majority of the CODA cast have yet to react online to their win for Best Picture at the 2022 Oscars, but star Emilia Jones, who played Ruby Rossi in the film did retweet a congratulatory post from the First Lady, Jill Biden.
Alongside an image of her meeting the main cast, Jill Biden posted: “CODA! Congratulations on your win. You captured our hearts.”
So far, the tweet has over 26,000 likes and 2,000 retweets.
Eugenio Derbez, who starred as Bernardo, reposted a short video of himself getting ready for the Oscars and the moment CODA won. Alongside the video, he penned: “Viva México!!!, tonight the winner was inclusion. Long live the art of cinema. CODA has proven that you can always make history, even without big names or budget, but by putting all your heart into it. @appletvplus #CODA”
Marlee Martin, who starred as Jackie, tweeted an image of her and her castmates on the red carpet, writing: “#CODA Best Picture of the Year!! Thank you@AppleTVPlus and the entire cast, crew, and the producers. And hold on. More pictures are coming!”
